“My son struggled with his AP Pre Calculus class until he started working with Timothy. My son passed the year with an A.”
“Tim responded immediately to my request and made himself available for the next two days to tutor my son for his pre-calculus final. My son received an A on his final exam.”
“Since working with him, we have seen massive improvements in both grades and attitude toward school.”
Hi, I’m Tim.
I get it. It’s hard watching your kid struggle with math, especially when the homework doesn’t look like the math you learned.
Most students who struggle aren’t “bad at math.” Honestly, they’re usually missing one step, or it was only ever explained one way. So I explain it another way, with my own tricks and memory tools, until it clicks.
I studied Applied Mathematics at Rutgers and have tutored everything from elementary math to college Calculus and Physics.
My goal is steady progress every week, until your child feels confident on their own and doesn’t need me at all.
Not sure where your child should start? That’s pretty normal. Text me what’s going on in class, and I’ll suggest a plan.

Building strong foundations, keeping up with the school curriculum, and getting ahead for students ready for more.

SAT & PSAT Math Prep
I find exactly where points are being lost and turn those weak spots into strengths before test day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you tutor online or in person?
Both. In-person sessions are at the Union Public Library on Morris Ave, and online sessions are over Zoom.
What grades and subjects do you cover?
Elementary through college: Math from basic facts through Calculus, high school and college Physics, and SAT/PSAT Math.
How long are sessions, and when are you available?
Sessions are usually 1 hour, and longer sessions can be arranged if needed. I’m available Monday through Saturday, afternoons and evenings, and morning sessions can sometimes be arranged. Feel free to text me any time, including mornings, and I’ll get back to you quickly.
What happens in the first session?
It’s an assessment: I find exactly where your student is strong and where the gaps are, and you leave with a clear plan for what we’ll work on. New students receive a free second session.
How do you keep students safe?
In-person sessions are always in a public place, the Union Public Library. For online sessions with younger students, a parent stays nearby. I schedule and communicate with parents directly rather than messaging students privately, and I never share or post student photos or information without a parent’s permission.
What should my child bring?
Recent homework, tests or class notes, a pencil, and a calculator for middle school and up.
How does payment work?
You can pay online by card through the secure links in the Rates section, or I can text you a payment link. Once-a-week and twice-a-week plans are prepaid each month at a lower rate per session.
What if we need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule at no charge. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.
Will I know how my child is doing?
Yes. I keep parents updated on what we covered and what to practice between sessions.
